Mountain Dew Dark Berry Review

Today we are going to be reviewing mountain dew dark berry, a limited edition drink advertising the dark night rises movie. In my eyes the drink really is just an advertisement, but some people may argue against that.

This drink was highly anticipated by me, so I was out everywhere looking for it. I have already review this in a video so you can go check that out on YouTube. Back to what I was saying, I looked everywhere but for some reason this drink is freaking impossible to find in stores. (or it was until mid late June). The drink can be found in sidekick bottles (which I hate) or the regular Pepsi bottles.

The drink itself is great! In my video review I said it tasted A LOT like Pitch Black. Though now that I have tasted the drink every week or so it is reminding me a lot of Supernova. It defiantly is mixed berry, but I taste more grape in it, that's just me. It has a ok aftertaste that doesn't beg you to get more of the drink. Its one of the more subtitle flavors Mountain Dew has.

As always with Mountain Dew it's a limited edition drink, so it's only around for 2 weeks. It's gets annoying, especially when really great flavors come out (ahem, Pitch Black?) and then they get removed while other crappy flavors such as White Out are still out there. I bet you Pitch Black would win 100-1 against White Out.
Overall Dark Berry is a great flavor. While I can't see anyone wanting it brought back since its just an advertisement (do you see anyone wanting the gamefuels back?) its still a great flavor.

Ghostbusters Ectoplasm Review

Today we are going to be looking at the drink Ghostbusters ectoplasm, based of the Ghostbusters movie. It claims to be an energy drink but honestly the only ingredients that might make it an energy drink are vitamin b6 and b12.
The label for it looks really good. It’s a lot better than some labels by the same company (ahem, sonic the hedgehog energy drink).
It smells really weird, kind of like a margarita mix. The taste is weird! It has a very big emphasis on the lime flavoring and it’s pretty bitter. I am a huge fan of anything that has a bitter lime taste so if you ask me it’s amazing. But others might not think the same. My sister spit it out. It might be a distant cousin of the flavor mountain dew distortion.
It also looks like distortion so I think they may have something to do with each other.
Overall it’s a good drink for me but I don’t know if anyone else would like it.
My rating: 8/10
Overall rating 5 1/2 out of 10

Jic Jac Soda Review

Today we are going to be reviewing Jic Jac. A strawberry soda.
The label for it looks pretty bland, but it’s ok for a soda and it gives it a nice retro look. It says on the bottle “just say Jic Jac”. I don’t get it, but oh well.
It also has cane sugar so people who like everything pure might like it.
When you open the bottle it smells like some medicine that I used to take a lot. Frankly I hated that medicine so I was kind of thinking the soda was going to go down hill from there, but it tastes amazing! It has a great taste! I am not normally a strawberry soda fan, but it tastes great. It greats you with a sweet strawberry taste and then finishes it off with a sweeter taste. If you have a sweet tooth this is for you.
The only thing that brings the soda down is the terrible smell.
If you can find this soda (which is very hard) pick it up. You won’t regret it.

Costa Rica 7up review

I was in costa rica and I saw 7up. I haven’t seen 7up in forever. So I eagerly got the 7up. I found it in the bottle (apparently there are still people who reuse bottles).
The flavor was very different than I am used to. I suspect they were using cane sugar instead of corn syrup.
It has that standard lemon lime smell so theres not much different with the aroma.
I feel that it has a strong emphasis on the lemon flavor and less lime to it. I know that this stuff is a lot like sprite (BTW 7up was first) but, over here in costa rica it tastes a LOT different.
I have now been buying 7up wherever I can find it because honestly its hard to find in my stores in America.
Overall for some reason (it may just be me) it tastes different over here in Costa Rica. I will name this review 7up Costa Rica review. Overall 7up is great and a whole lot better than that crappy Sprite.

Fanta Kolita

Recently I have been trying new drinks in Costa Rica. I came across a red fanta. I immediately thought that it was the kind of fanta that you see at a zaxbys soda fountain but this was actually much different. So I thought “eh, why not?” and I tried some. The first thing that I noticed was the aroma. It smelled like Dads red cream soda, but with less of the creamy smell.
The actual drink itself tastes really good at the beginning, but then I was greeted with a horrible taste. It tasted like frickin’ cough medicine! If you think that’s bad then too bad! Because the soda has a long aftertaste! It’s not horrible but, it still sucks.
This soda probably couldn’t make it as a mass produced item. While it is technically a mass produced item, it doesn’t appear on all the store shelves. Overall not a very good soda and you can defiantly skip this one.

Fresca Toronja

While I was in Costa Rica I came across a drink called Fresca Toronja. I have never really liked Fresca, but I thought it might be neat to try out. When you open it, it has an ok aroma. It dosent smell great, but at the same time it dosent smell horrible. It tastes like lemon and grapefruit. It is also very tropical like. It’s aftertaste is alright, again it’s not great but, it’s not bad. It’s not really a drink that I would buy normally, but it’s still kind of neat.
